I first got the idea for this business in 1993. I'd made several artistic items, and as I could never be certain what would be in stock at any given point, I called the company Ephemerala, which means "Things that are always changing." Here is our very first catalog, from Spring 1993. It was made with a single, double-sided legder-sized paper folded into thirds. Interestingly, while "Ephemerala" means "always changing," we still sell those bookmarks to this day!
