Plastic Bookmark

Have you ever looked at a drop of water under a microscope? You see a mainly clear background, with lots of colorful bits drifting about. That's what these bookmarks look like! They come about in a two-part process. First, transparent and opaque inks are drizzled between plastic laminate sheets and pressed to form beautiful swirled designs. Then, these sheets are cut into tiny pieces and pressed between perfectly clear plastic sheets. The result truly looks like something you would see under a microscope! Each is unique; no two are alike. Each bookmark measures 2" by 8" and is double-laminated for lasting durability.

Bookmarks serve their intended purpose well, of course, but they are good for so much more than simply holding your place. These tiny works of art can be used as package decorations (punch a hole in the top, tie a ribbon through it, and attach it to a package--great for a book-related gift!), as ornaments (hang in the window or on a Christmas tree), and as mobiles for an artistic child's room. Bookmarks make great stocking stuffers, and are inexpensive gifts for neighbors, co-workers, children, and friends.

Pictured below are examples of the look of the bookmarks. Please note that yours will differ slightly from those shown, but will be very similar.
