When gemstones and rocks get tumbled and polished, small bits break off the hard edges and get tumbled and polished too. These get scooped up to sell, and we've got 'em. This is a bag of 50 to 80 small assorted gem chips. These are fun to look through--try to find your favorite stones! This also makes a really wonderful and very inexpensive gift for young children, who love to see the dozens of pretty little chips in all colors. They are also really nice for decorative projects--try sorting them into color groups and using them as mosaic stones. They can make fun craft projects for kids--let them cover a small wooden box with chips, or glue them to styrofoam to make ornaments. The chips range in size from 3mm to 18mm, with the majority being in the 5-8mm range. Each bag has the potential to contain Amethyst, Peridot, Garnet, Agates, Obsidians, Jaspers, Quartz, Tiger Eye, Citrine, Emerald, Aquamarine, and many others. We've even found the occasional Ruby in there! Buy several bags for the best variety. Each bag will have at least 50 chips, and since we tend to err on the "more" side, it is likelier you will get closer to the 80-piece range.
