New Staff Member Update
Turns out that Cedric
is a very computer-tolerant baby, so it's been easier to add new stuff to the
store. We have a ton of new items below, and expect to manage to do the
same, as well as make some format changes to the site, in the next few
weeks.

New Items
New Eggs
Three new and fabulous stones! These are not the mini
eggs, but more like a small chicken's egg size.
Labradorite
Dark green-gray with the occasional flash of brilliant blue
fire.
Rainbow Moonstone
Lovely milky white with great blue fire. Each egg has at
least one really good display side, with an incredible flash.
Ruby
Don't go dreaming of brilliant gems--these are all grade Z
materials. Still, how cool would it be to own a genuine Ruby egg?
Solid pink-gray color, some sparkles within, not the most beautiful of colors,
but fairly nice.
Back in Stock Eggs!
I just got a big new supply of old favorites, and as I was
going into each listing to change the quantities, I was ashamed of how MANY of
these showed a quantity of zero! Go to the page and you'll see what I
mean. I had been wondering why my Google Ads had been consistently clicked
on, but my sales had gone down drastically. Indeed, usually very high
placers on the Fortnightly's Top Sellers, they completely dropped off the chart
this month--because there were so few left to buy. Anyway, they are BACK,
in large quantities.
Cat's Eye Marbles
These are pretty cool. I'm not really the Cat's Eye type
(I prefer genuine gemstones), but I know a lot of people really dig these, so I
got them. A rainbow of shimmering colors.
Frosted Glass Rings
I've had these forever, and finally got them listed.
Chunky and cool. Choose from several pastel colors.
Frosted Glass Stands
These are the exact same item as the rings above.
Someone remarked that these thick rings make great stands for small spheres and
eggs, so I included then in with the other stands.
Cat's Eye Sphere Stands
And since the frosted glass rings made such great stands, these lovely
Cat's Eye rings will too!
New Chip Beads
I have a TON of new stones arriving, so I figured I needed to
step up on these!
Orange Chalcedony
These look like Creamsicles. The nicest natural orange
with white stripes. They make me hungry looking at them.
Pink Opalite
KEWL! Opalite chips made with pink material and
exhibiting the same awesome blue fire. These are very chunky, almost
cube-shaped chips, and the color is really wonderful.
Black Turquoise
This looks like Turitella without the fossils. A mix of
black and white bubbles with a little pink. I am pretty sure this is not
real Turquoise, but that's the name it came with.
Lemon Topaz
Very pale yellow Topaz. A nice pastel
color.
Cherry Amber
We have very limited numbers of this one. These are very
dark chips with a hint of bright red when you hold them to the light. I
like them very much.
Transparent Sapphire
Choose from light or dark blue, these are tiny little Sapphire
beads that actually look like they might be Sapphire! Not as easy to work
with as the big opaque Sapphire chips, but way prettier.

Stone Fun Facts
Sodalite (Revisited)
** Known as "Poor Man's Lapis" due to its
similarity in color, Sodalite is actually a component of Lapis, but is much less
expensive. It comes in all colors of blue, with white Calcite veins. **
Sodalite is thought to help change the wearer's thoughts about himself or
herself. It helps the wearer to be less self-critical, be more introspective,
and to analyze goals. ** Sodalite is also believed to be a good stone for
groups working together, as it forges a sense of solidarity and trust. It aids
in communication and in writing. ** Crystal healers use Sodalite to draw out
infection, to reduce fever, and to cure insomnia. It shields the wearer from
negative energy, and blocks radiation (and thus it is a good stone to keep by a
television or computer). It stills the mind, calms the spirit, and relaxes the
body, and is a good stone to use in meditation. ** The name "Sodalite" refers
to its high Sodium content. ** The stone is relatively rare, with only three
known mines in the world.

News & Stuff
Price Increase on Eggs &
Marbles
Until this point, I have been making almost no profit on the eggs and
marbles. I priced them so low mainly to give folks like me an opportunity
to buy marbles and eggs without having to pay $8 for each or whatever. I
typically sell a whole lot of these, and feel it is time to start making
some money on them. So all marbles and mini eggs have had their prices
increased by a dollar across the board. Now most of the marbles are $3
instead of $2, and the little eggs average $4 each. For the next two
weeks, however (until the next newsletter), e-mail list subscribers will get the
old price. When you buy eggs or marbles, let me know that you are a
newsletter subscriber and I'll give you the old price and refund the overage by
the way you paid (PayPal, credit card, or check). Don't wait, though,
because after the next newsletter in two weeks, this offer will be over and
subscribers will have to pay the new price along with everyone else.
New E-Mail Address
I experienced a strange glitch with my old business address, so we got a
new one. It is service@ephemerala.com. Any mail
sent to the old address (which had "citymax" before the "com") will not get
here. In fact, if you tried to write recently in response to the last
newsletter and didn't get a reply, it is because I never saw your message, so go
ahead and try again.
