These beads are short and fat. They are great for those who want a

I have always loved these when I see them in catalogues, but they usually
cost $10-15, so I have never bothered to buy one. I got a great deal and
am able to sell them to you for MUCH less! Great for you witchy types out
there who need a little place for your herbs, or for the New Agers who like to
keep scented oil near them. The lids of the bottles have little spoons in
them for pouring, or you could use the spoon handle (a thick wire) as a perfume
applicator. Really cool.
Chalk Turquoise Round Beads
This is an odd stone that I am told is some sort of stabilized
Turquoise. They are in the 7-8mm range, but none of the strands I got
seems to be of the EXACT same size, so expect some variations.

Prehnite
** Prehnite is a mineral that is usually NOT used in jewelry. It is
used for ornamental decoration and as mineral specimens, and it is occasionally
cut into faceted or cabochon jewelry, but not often. Its lovely clean
light green color makes it a good stone for the few jewelry items it
makes.
** This is a highly mystical stone, loved by New Age proponents as a stone
of prophesy, protection, out of body experiences, and communication with
extraterrestrial life.
** Crystal healers use Prehnite to stimulate energy in the body, and to aid
in calming. Rubbing Prehnite right before going to sleep is thought to aid
in lucid dreaming. It is thought to help the wearer back to his or her
original dreams, plans, and wishes.
** Physically, it is said to help the immune system and encourage healing
after an illness.
** The stone was named for Dutch Colonel Hendrick Von Prehn.
** Prehnite can change into Garnet under metamorphosis.
** Also known as "Cape Emerald," it is occasionally sold by unscrupulous
sellers as Emerald.

The Wish List
I always keep a small Wish List in the back of my head, and search until I
find the items on it. Sometimes it is easy; other times I have to wait
months. And still other items remain un-found, despite my vast
search. For your interest, here are some of the items I have recently been
trying to obtain:
Bloodstone Chip Beads. Not the dull African
Bloodstone I have now, but real Bloodstone, dark green with tiny red
spots.
Sapphire Chip Beads. I actually have found Sapphire
NUGGET beads, which I would buy if someone expresses an interest, but I still
have not found Sapphire CHIP beads. The funny thing is, low-quality
Sapphire is not terribly expensive, so I don't know why they haven't made chips
out of it yet.
Morganite Chip Beads. Morganite is the pink version
of Beryl (Aquamarine, Emerald).
Small Gemstone Globes. I have the big bead pendants,
which I adore, but I would like to find an affordable small display globe of
three or four inches. I have found them on retail sites, but nothing at a
price that I could offer in my own store.
Sandalwood Products. I love Sandalwood, and would
like to find bookmarks, pendants, and small carvings.
MARBLES! I absolutely LOVE Gemstone Marbles, and
find it near impossible to keep them in stock. My usual supplier is not
selling them any more, so I may just have to find someone in Arizona who can go
to the Tucson Gem Show for me twice a year!
Solid Perfume in Soapstone Jars. I have found these
in various places for anywhere from $7 to $12, but I haven't yet found a
wholesale distributor that would allow me to sell them for less. When I
do, look out! I would love to use these as the bridge between Gemstone
items and Aromatherapy items.
Rose and/or Lavender Beads. I know these exist, but
I can't seem to find them anywhere other than craft books. Flower petals
are made into a pulp and then formed into large, colorful beads which give off
their distinctive smells when body heat warms them up. Like the Soapstone
Perfume Jars, it would be a great link from beads to scents.
If I am lucky in any of these searches, look for any of the above in the
future. (And if you happen to know of a source, please let me know!)
