New Items
Magnetic Hematite
Magnetic Hematite is a naturally-occurring magnetic stone that is gaining popularity due to its health properties.  We have two new products with this wonderful stone.

Wraps
These are all-purpose wraps made from colored crystals, silver spacers, and some have Freshwater Pearls.  Every inch or so there is a Magnetic Hematite bead to hold the wrap together in whatever shape you wish.  Wrap one several times around your arm or leg for a bracelet or anklet.  Wrap one around your neck for a choker, necklace, or lariat.  The longer ones can be used as belly chains.  There are dozens of ways to use these.  Magnetic Hematite Wraps are a very popular jewelry item right now, so get in on the fun!  Choose from three lengths and many colors, and you can get them with or without Pearls.

Zingers
These are just too cool.  My kids can't play with them enough.  They are very simple--two sticks of Magnetic Hematite.  But they provide hours of fascinating fun.  They click together with a whirring sound that has to be heard to be believed.  Our kids fight over them; that's how incredible they are.  I've used them as regular magnets to hold things on the fridge, and once when I was out without pockets, I stuck two of them on either side of my shirt and slapped my keys on!  My 8-year-old does magic tricks with them.  Even the baby can't keep his hands away.  You HAVE to buy a pair of these!

Salt Products
The benefits of salt are starting to be discovered.  Salt Lamps help to increase the number of negative ions in a room, cleansing the air and giving it a fresh feel.  We now carry two types of Salt products.  In addition to being healthful, they are also fun.  When you get yours, lick it!  My 4-year-old son licks his own little Salt Candle Holder and says, "Mmm, tasty!"  Even if you end up not liking the lamp, you can always grind it up and put it in your soup.

Salt Lamps
These are nice large hunks of natural salt with a light bulb inside.

Salt Candle Holders
Much smaller size; you can put a votive or tea light (included) inside for a nice little lamp.

Quartz Lights
We also have lamps and candle holders in pure white/clear Quartz.  Very rough shapes, mainly upright but sometimes a little skewed.  Excellent choice for a natural look in a room.

Quartz Lamp
Comes with cord and light bulb.  Nice rough Quartz.

Quartz Candle Holder
A little bit smaller; comes with a candle.  Or you can use your own cord and light bulb for a smaller lamp.

Stone Fun Facts
Opalite
** Several of our stones are actually glass.  This one is our only PLASTIC stone!  Opalite is made of a plastic resin, designed to look like Rainbow Moonstone.  It has a milky color with a distinct blue fire tone.  Held against a white background, it has a yellowish tinge.
** While glass stones like Goldstone or Cherry Quartz carry the physical (and sometimes health) properties of natural glasses such as pure Quartz, Opalite, being plastic, has no known healing properties.
** Opalite is also known as Moonstone Quartz, Opalized Quartz, Gerisol, Lunar Quartz, and Sea Opal.
** Opalite originated in Hong Kong, and was introduced to the gem trade in 1988.
** It is very lightweight (good for earrings), and soft, so it doesn't make good fine jewelry, but it is good for costume jewelry.
** There is another, genuine, stone called Moss Opalite, which is a type of Opal.

News and Stuff
Pictures Wanted for Upcoming Gallery Page
Do you make jewelry with your Ephemerala stuff?  Would you like to show it off?  Do you have a website and would like a place to advertise it?  I am now accepting photos and scannings of completed projects using things you bought from Ephemerala.  These will eventually be on a "Customers' Gallery" page.  When you send a picture, please let me know what information you'd like as the caption.  You can have your initials, full name, first name only, shop name--anything is fine.  Also, if you wish to advertise your business, please give me the URL to include, or the e-mail address where you wish to be reached.  And make a short list of materials used.  Hopefully we'll get enough entries to make a beautiful page and get everyone's name out there!

And...Upcoming Links Page
In addition to the proposed Gallery page, I would like to create a Links page.  If you have a related online store that you would like to include on the upcoming Links page, please send me the URL along with your banner if you have one.  This could be a good way to get more hits on our websites, and ultimately get more customers.

New Products Page
With the arrival of our new Salt Lamps and Quartz Lamps, we decided to create a whole new page for Lights.  See all the above new items plus a couple of older items here:
